"The consciousness of good intentions disdains ambiguity. I shall not, however, multiply professions on this head. My motives must remain in the depository of my own breast. My arguments will be open to all, and may be judged of by all. They shall at least be offered in a spirit which will not disgrace the cause of truth."
-'Publius' The Federalist No. 1
Is there an underlying pattern to be gleamed from these two incidents or are they just merely two isolated instances? From what has been pieced together thus far, there is no underlying nexus linking these seemingly individual incidents, as yet. Here, as was the same a couple of Saturdays ago, not much has been made of this incident. In case one my readers missed the news from this afternoon, today (via Reganites Unite! & Donkey Stomp) several bombs were discovered on the campus of Georgia Tech University in Atlanta.
How many instances does it take for a trend to emerge? As Myopic Zealdiscusses, a bomb was discovered on the campus of UCLA. It remains to be seen if even the Oklahoma University episode was indeed a terrorist act, but with what transpired today, more questions should be asked in such an odd set of circumstances. As your humble discussed this past Saturday, not much has been made of the peculiar surroundings of the alleged suicide of an Oklahoma University student. Unfortunately, it has, at least in this situation, become apparent that Americans cannot rely on the MSM to report the news when it pertains to these matters. As Oblogatory Anecdotes highlights in a recent post, the closest they have come to even dignifying this matter has been to acknowledge they are not dignifying the matter.
In these times that we live, complacency cannot be our modus operandi.
